If I suggested that I chose between residence in Krakow and residence in Rome, I'd have a real problem with the decision. A city so very different, yet so similar, living history and history, yet full of youth, holy and sinful.
I was able to go on my overdue vacation - to Rome's. To Rome, where I spent three important years of my life, three years before a final decision on the future direction of my way, which helped take my feeling for and friendship with a woman from Iran, working in the Irish pub. Which is another woman who lived several centuries earlier in Siena, a well known fact that admonished the popes, helped me cope with the crisis of faith typical of the sensitive student of theology.
Rome is the most beautiful city that I know and have probably remain so after what I experienced there. Its splendor and richness of history, completely overshadowed Krakow, I have experienced so much this time after his return. Because I felt like I was in a provincial town. Very charming, but a small and modest.
Interestingly, in Rome, and among the Italians feel too familiar and in yourself. Maybe someday, after Kraków, I will dwell in the Eternal City for a long time?
